AOC Europe 2026:

AARONIA presents Electronic Warfare

05/13/2026By Redaktion

Aaronia AG will present state-of-the-art solutions for real-time signal classification, direction finding, and drone detection at AOC Europe 2026 in Helsinki

As a Gold Sponsor of this year’s AOC Europe, Aaronia AG will be represented with its own booth (Booth 4F21) and will demonstrate how consistent innovation in the field of real-time spectrum analysis is setting new standards for electronic warfare (EW), drone detection, and electromagnetic situational awareness.

AOC Europe, the leading European symposium of the Association of Old Crows (AOC), will bring together decision-makers from the armed forces, government agencies, the defense industry, and academia in Helsinki from May 19 to 21, 2026. This year’s central theme—“Re-Arming Europe for Electromagnetic Spectrum Superiority”—sets an agenda to which Aaronia AG from Strickscheid (Eifel) is making a key technical contribution.

SPECTRAN® V6 Mobile: The portable all-rounder takes center stage

At the heart of Aaronia’s presentation is the SPECTRAN® V6 Mobile—the world’s first portable real-time spectrum analyzer with a real-time bandwidth (RTBW) of 490 MHz. The device covers a frequency range from 9 kHz to 140 GHz and achieves a sweep speed of 3 THz/s. The 15-inch display, which is particularly relevant for field applications, achieves a brightness of up to 1,500 nits and is therefore easily readable even in direct sunlight.

These performance parameters make the SPECTRAN® V6 Mobile the ideal platform for a wide range of applications: from mobile broadband monitoring and spectral situational awareness to the analysis of radar, jamming, and spoofing signals, as well as drone detection and EW applications. The SPECTRAN® V6 platform—in all AARTOSTM DDS variants, from X2 to X9—forms the hardware basis for fully integrated solutions for real-time signal classification and geolocation, thereby bridging the gap between classic high-performance measurement technology and modern C-UAS systems.

Direction Finding and Professional Antenna Portfolio

Real-time direction finding is one of the most demanding disciplines in the EW environment. That is why Aaronia AG is presenting its current portfolio of integrated DF solutions in Helsinki—the AARTOSTM DF2, DF4, and DF9—ranging from compact handheld systems for single operators to networked multi-sensor architectures for large-area geolocation.

The new generation of IsoLOG® DF antennas supports real-time AoA direction finding up to 18 GHz, with an extension to 40 GHz in the works.

Through the integration of additional direction-finding algorithms—Power-of-Arrival (PoA) and Time Difference of Arrival (TDoA)—signals in the lower frequency range can also be reliably detected, classified, and localized. The combination of multiple systems enables automatic 3D triangulation of transmitters and the complete recording of flight paths; integrated camera systems allow for the visual verification of the object and any payload. The portfolio is complemented by the PowerLOG® horn antenna series with coverage up to 70 GHz, as well as other broadband antennas for mobile and stationary applications.

In Helsinki, Aaronia is presenting its AARTOSTM DF2 solution to industry professionals for the first time.

RTSA-Suite PRO: The software intelligence behind the systems

All hardware solutions from Aaronia AG are powered by the RTSA-Suite PRO—the fastest real-time spectrum analysis software on the market. The innovative block system allows for the flexible configuration of virtually any measurement scenario without programming knowledge. Key features include:

  • Real-time 3D signal direction finding in under 1 µs (in conjunction with the IsoLOG® 3D DF antenna), with simultaneous location of any number of transmitters across the entire frequency spectrum – including GPS position and altitude
  • Fully automatic pulse classification and real-time demodulation/decoding (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GSM, DECT, QPSK, QAM, and many more)
  • 3D map view with topography, building models, and RF propagation models
  • Record & Replay of the full I/Q bandwidth (up to 245 MHz) with “Smart Buffering” for virtually unlimited recording duration
  • Fully scalable multi-sensor architecture: Multiple SPECTRAN® V6 units can be linked
  • Integration of cameras (including automatic tracking), jammers, and radar systems
